Do you do Windows, my friend? Howz about floors? I don't have time for this; I'm just about ready to go pick up my master's dry cleaning...

Did I mention I'm an Art Director? Yeah. I am.

Im Dav Cohen and i aam an editor. Any idea how to search for and "bid on" a project? damn thsi board is a bit stale.

Dave - to "bid" on a project, simply contact the poster. I admit, this board does suffer from the low number of project postings - perhaps most project managers would rather contact freelancers directly than post their project. There are, however, good projects posted every now and then - check back once in a while.

Hello -

I understand what you are going through - I am also an Artist/Illustrator with over 10 years of experience (and I do flash, html hand coding, etc...)

What you have to do is 'market' your work.. Pick up a copy of the Artists & Graphic Designers Market - do a search on Freelance, Freeagent, etc...

Just keep plunking away and most of all 'network'.. that is VERY important... I often get work via networking...

The other thing - when I find myself hitting a wall constantly - I find its time to reevaluate my 'approach' - see if my resume is up to par, my website, my portfolio - everything...

Good Luck ! Its not easy - but remember for each 'creative' out there looking for work - there is a client - looking for a 'creative' the trick is you two bumping into each other ;)

Me? I evaluated my portfolio - I need more technical illustrations, more cartoons and more - well of everything else I do...

A picture IS work at 1000 words ;)

Just keep on keeping on - too many give up - be persistant!

Sincerely,
Deb...
